Founder President Message

Greetings from AQUAFIN,

Our Foundation progress in supporting the Fisheries and Aquaculture sector has been significant as we are to complete three full financial years since its inception in 2020. Our clientele services have impacted 1300 people, and we have addressed pressing issues that have been threatening the industry. Additionally, we have utilized social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn to provide support and bring awareness to the fluctuations in shrimp market prices. We are proud of our AQUAFIN Foundation's efforts to bring digitalization to Aquaculture, as we have collaborated with international corporations to support shrimp farmers with data maintenance and digitalization.

Our capacity-building programs have been noteworthy, with collaborations with national and international universities, corporates, private and government agencies resulting in many national and international events. Our Foundation's primary objective is to promote and advance the science and practice of aquaculture in India through research, education, and outreach. Our ultimate goal is to create sustainable and profitable aquaculture systems that provide food security, employment, and economic growth for our nation. Our range of services includes educating, empowering, and enhancing research programs for the development of new aquaculture techniques in partnership with private and public institutions. We organize capacity building programs for farmers, hatchery operators, and other stakeholders to disseminate the latest knowledge and techniques in aquaculture.

Moreover, we offer consultancy services to entrepreneurs, investors, and industry stakeholders who wish to establish or expand their aquaculture businesses. Our team of experts provides technical advice on site selection, design and construction of aquaculture facilities, water quality management, nutrition and feed management, disease management, and market access. We collaborate with universities, research institutions, and industry stakeholders to generate new knowledge, share best practices, and promote technology transfer. We advocate for policies that promote sustainable aquaculture practices, streamline regulatory processes, and provide incentives for investment in the sector in partnership with government agencies and policymakers.
