What your money can do ?
Your donation could be as little as Rs 500 to Rs 5000 which will pay for education and training needs of fisher community. A sum of Rs 15000 will cover the fisher training expenses for a whole year. A donation of Rs 3000 will meet a training kit for five people, while Rs 36000 will cover for seventy two fishers residing in one block. Sponsoring a seaweed culture facility for a year, including material procurement, culture operations and training fees will cost between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 4 lakh, depending on the technology pursued by the fisher. Contribution of Rs 5 lakh and Rs 10 lakh or above can also be made to the corpus fund used for creation of fish processing incubation facility, ornamental fish farming, organizing workshops, events and special training sessions, operating expenses and funding other AQUAFIN initiatives Donations are exempt under Sec. 80G.
